In New York there’s a rule that a certain percentage of your hardwood floors must be covered in rugs when you live in an apartment building to manage the noise. I brought many thick carpets when I moved in but they were hard to keep clean and they added no personality. I got new rugs about a year ago from Dash & Albert, they’re super durable, easy to clean, and carry wear well.
Nantucket, the rug above, is the runner in my foyer. These carpets make me feel like I still live in New England and they’re very cheerful. The one below is in my “living room” aka the area of my studio that has a couch.
