I went to the framer yesterday to drop off the picture I bought from Lonny Photo. I ended up choosing a reclaimed barnwood frame that he sources from Texas. I have another barnwood frame in my foyer so this will match! Also – because in the image the horse is biting an old wood fence (yes, I got that one!) there’s a sort of harmony between frame and image now. There are a lot of great things that can be done with barn and driftwood given their rustic nature – the colors usually range from gray to sand and the textures can be varied from smooth to rough.
This one’s from 2Dogs Woodworking in Tucson, AZ.
Driftwood LOVE – appropriate – from Perch Papiers in Seattle.
Great frame and subject from Flax and Spindle in Southold, Long Island.
