After coming upon Dominic Wilcox’s bowl made of melted tiny soldiers I did some recon on other works of his. Naturally I was incredibly drawn to Nimbus, a light he created out of polystyrene balls in 2002. A few of his works actually conjured up memories of Tara Donovan and her creative use of everyday items.
His use of light sources though is distinct from her works – it lends a new perspective on the items as well.
Can you guess what the items are below?
Bic pens – I dig it – a fresh take on the Pen Light.
