My brother is a huge fan of Google Reader. By the time I wake up in the morning I typically have between 1-3 forwards and some of them are really interesting (many are images of puppies). As my brother lives in Baltimore I was particularly taken by an artist he sent me today, who subsequently linked me to another artist, Jen Stark, a former Baltimorean it appears. Jen works in paper sculpture, drawing and animation in Florida now. Her paper sculptures are out of this world.
A close up of Transfixed from 2008.
Primaries Invert made of cardstock last year.
Overstuffed from 2007 has a fiber-y appearance created through felt tipped pen. I like the idea of how much textiles can contain or not as the case may be.
Awesome – also a drawing called, Intricate Mass.
This looks like my crochet projects – Curvature from 2006.
