There’s a new exhibit here in New York at the Cooper-Hewitt design museum called Fashioning Felt. I anticipate that there will be multiple posts here about various artists that the exhibits awesome site and blog have led me to, especially after I make it up to the exhibit myself but for now I wanted to post on Brigit Daamen. Not only is she fashioning felt jewelry but also wall art, sculpture and installations.
A ring – soft and spikey!
One of Brigit’s cocoon necklaces with rubber and felt I believe – another one is below.
I can’t read her website and I can’t tell if this is felt or not, but I like it.
I really like layers sliced open to show the density and the process – very cool.
