Another stop on my Saturday of concept gallery/store visits was Cite, which doesn’t really count as I believe it’s regularly a furniture store but they had a selection of 23 Dutch designers in at the time, which were awesome. One studio I liked was Oooms Studio founded by Guido Ooms and Karin van Lieshout. Their pieces are collaborative, unique, and some utilize really cool materials.
This an amoeba-like hanging chair and those spines are actually make of plastic pull ties typically used for securing cables or what have you.
Similar approach but for lighting – that web of ties though is such a painstaking process to build – I appreciate the effort.
This light is laser cut metal and when you put the lightbulb on it looks like a ton of people in your house having a danceparty!!
This is one of my favorite – a roadkill rug. Amazing. This should be at the house in New Hampshire.
