Today I discovered a new blog to love, Scoutie Girl, and I’m almost scared to keep reading it as I love everything they write about. However, when I read their post on Yoola, I had to post too — Yael Falk, like me, crochets weird and wondrous things out of wire as I’ve been doing recently with hiking cord!
When I first saw her pomegranates I thought they were quite large, maybe a foot tall — but no! They’re very small, only a few inches and Yael sells tutorials as well.
Yael makes her pieces in a variety of sizes and I’m interested in her small home items but she also makes this sort of snakey, woven, jewelry as well. Which, from the sounds of her bio, is what led her to coming up with this technique.
The above are beads she makes for others to integrate into their jewelry works themselves – they would make a beautiful lariat I think!
Above are Yael’s lampshade — they’re small but would be awesome in a bathroom or in a child’s room potentially. They’re modern and simply yet sort of coutryhouse-ish at the same time!
More awesome lampshades in varying shapes and colors!
So so cool looking — I suggest everyone go to her Etsy store and look at the photos in her how too, it’s really inspirational!
