Clearly I’m getting more and more into lighting. Jeff Zimmerman is a glassblower who makes some amazing works. As a former glassblower myself I can attest that what he does is not easy by any sense of the word. But the coolest thing about Jeff is his life story.
Both of his parents were artists and he was raised at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center — I love Colorado and all things associated with it.
He has studied and worked all over, California, Tennessee, Washington state, France, Africa, everywhere.
The most unique part of his bio though has to be his time spent with a group called the B Team, a collaborative and experimental bunch.
The B Team seems to self-define as a group doing “punk rock cutting edge happenings.”
His bio explains that this B Team did performances where molten glass poured down on steel umbrellas around them — sounds amazing and beautiful. It also sounds like something that would have happened at my glassblowing camp, Snow Farm.

I’d like your help contacting the artist directly to discuss a pro-bono piece for a showcase project.
Do you have an email address??
THANK YOU!
Matt
