My brother sent me the work of Johanna Spath and Johannes Tsopanides a while ago but I hadn’t had the time to post it as of yet. Together the two of them have made what they call, “Cloudspeakers.”
This project is so awesome because it merges two of my interests, design and music technology.
The duo explain the project as a conceptual work that makes loudspeakers reflective of the musical taste of their owners. They aggregate listener data based on a listener’s top 33 songs and then characteristics of those songs on various scales of 1-10 like loud – silent, calm – vivid, soft – hard.
The results are beautiful.
