Today is Thanksgiving here and while we wait for our 30 pound turkey to finish cooking I’m online shopping…naturally. Even though my family never abides by it, I enjoy making Christmas lists, it’s fun and hopeful! Courtney, my friend, is here with me and we got to talking jewelry. She introduced me to Melissa Joy Manning, who had recently designed her friend’s friend’s engagement ring.
I long though I knew the ring I might like to get but wow, these are exceptional. The organic looking gold and stone combo really gets me. I’d prefer one in a silver-tone metal but regardless, they’re beautiful.
Mmmm – pink diamond? I can’t really see the tone but again, I love that it’s open in the back so you can really see the stone’s character.
In the meantime she makes amazing everyday rings. I love big round stones and Ippolita has long been out of my price range so these offer a great alternative.

What I really love are her earrings. I recently took my studs into the shop for new settings so have been wearing different earrings lately, which can get annoying. I love these Herkimer diamond studs for their awesome prong setting and totally reasonable price. These are going on the Christmas list right now! Have an awesome holiday!
