I just Googled some how tos on needle felting so as to not waste any roving and I came across Stephanie Metz so I needed to pause and share before starting whatever project I may be getting involved in. Over a year ago my brother sent me one of Stephanie’s teddy bear studies as a potential gift for my mom but we didn’t really know what we were looking at. Now I know.
That’s FELT. Amazing. I will never get to this skill level – I will stick to rock formations but her attention to detail is otherwordly.
This is from her series on Overbred Animals. She calls it the Super Suckler pig.
One of the skulls that started this whole fascination.
This one I could attempt I think – an ode to the former bunny in my life.
The above is from her Figurative Studies and is called, “Everybody is Somebody’s Baby” – a sentiment I like!
