Twigs & Heather

I just learned that you can search locally on Etsy – I know, not news to many people, but news to me. First I went through Austin and found some amazing things and then I went through Boston where I was once again racked with nostalgia when I came upon the store Twigs and Heather.

Growing up in Back Bay there were maple trees all around and with a botanist for a mother we spent a lot of time outside. I remember day after day with my best friend Danielle, pulling these seed apart and allowing the sap to stick them to our noses like horns. What a great memory!

The sterling silver mussel shell pendant above reminds me how much I’ve grown up in the last few years. I would never eats mussels growing up even though I was in a great seafood town. Now, I eat them everywhere and force my mom to cook them for me whenever I go home. I think I need this necklace in homage to the growth of my palette!

Daisy has a collection of shell pieces and these studs are great. They remind me of the mussel necklace that I loved from Twigs & Heather. [...]
